"Y.R.P. In position. It's show time, girls..."
I'm sure everybody who has ever played Final Fantasy X-2 remembers these first words from the opening FMV, "Real Emotion". As such, I would like to take a moment to credit Square Enix for these words, and also Koda Kumi for the title of her song, since I'm simply borrowing the title for my own purposes.
Second, I chose the title, "Real Emotion" because that is what I feel voice acting should be about -- conveying the real emotions of your characters. You can't just read off a page. You have to feel your character's feelings, think as they think. It's the same in music -- when you sing, you can't just sing straight off the music. You have to convey the emotion, or else it's just not effective.
